The Cleveland Cavaliers have traded former first round draft pick to the Houston Rockets, according to reporting from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania.
The Cavaliers actually moved up , sending the Pistons a package of Utah’s 2020 second round pick, Portland’s 2021 and 2023 second round picks, Miami’s 2024 second round pick (protected) and cash considerations in order to be able to take Porter with 30th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
Reportedly, instances of negative interactions with the coaching staff during his season at USC was the reason that he was still on the board at 30.
The trade comes on the heels of a tirade that happened last Saturday that according to the Inside the NBA crew was over his locker being moved without his knowledge.
